An all-day event on June 30, 2012
Rodney White Olympic Park (behind the Hermitage PA Municipal Building)
organized by the Mercer County Christian Coalition

Tentative General Plan for the Day:
All events free and open to the public (except for vendors – e.g. food vendors, t-shirt sales – some others might accept free-will offerings to help cover their expenses)

Main Stage – flatbed semi trailer
9:00        Bluegrass Music
9:30        Opening ceremony: Prayer, National Anthem, Pledge of Allegiance
(pending: massed color guards from veterans’ organizations)
9:45        Welcome, Announcements about events of the day
10:00     Patriotic Speaker
10:30     Music/YMCA Line Dancing
10:45     Patriotic Speaker or historical re-enactors
11:15     Music
11:30     Speaker or historical re-enactors
Afternoon: Music and entertainment (pending)

12:00 – 3:00 “Tickle-a-Vehicle” – display of vehicles for kids and adults to check out, climb on, operate (e.g. lights, sirens, lifts, when feasible and safe) - as many of the following as we can get:  Fire Truck, Police Car, Garbage Truck, Street Sweeper, Front End Loader, Back Hoe, Dump Truck, Snow Plow,  Bobcat, Ambulance, Race Car, Tractor, Postal Truck, Semi, Army Truck, Humvee, Cement Mixer, Cherry Picker, School Bus, Tow Truck, TV News Truck, UPS or Fed-Ex Truck, ETC.
1:00 – 4:00 Classic Car and Motorcycle Drive-In – pre-registration not required

Information Tables/Tents/Booths
                                ($25 charge per 10’ x 10’ space
                                – participants must bring own tables/chairs, canopies)

We welcome individuals, organizations, and businesses who would like exposure to a broad audience – Pre-registration required – see contact information below.

All afternoon: Families invited to bring blankets, chairs, tables, paper plates, utensils to picnic on the lawn with their own food or (to give Mom a break!) food from the above listed vendors.

Contributions to help allay the general costs of the event and to sponsor particular speakers/reenactors/events  will be gratefully accepted.
